Robert L. Hyde is a licensed attorney in California and Minnesota. He and Joshua B. Swigart are partners in the San Diego law firm, Hyde & Swigart, which practices exclusively in the area of consumer rights litigation. Between them they have represented hundreds of consumers against abusive collection agencies, banks, repossession agencies, and other creditors for violations of state and federal consumer statutes. They have both lectured to senior citizens organizations, law schools, consumer rights groups, and military lawyers employed by the Department of Defense concerning the abuses consumers suffer at the hands of unscrupulous debt collectors and creditors. Mr. Swigart & Mr. Hyde have also been instrumental in assisting organizations such as the Consumer Attorneys of California and the National Association of Consumer Advocates with their goals, including advocating for California Consumers, as well as working to ensure recent attacks on consumer statutes are defended.
