Jeremy Cohen

Biography:

Jeremy Cohen is an anthropologist of religion from Canada. His primary research focuses on new religious movements whose members are seeking physical immortality. His research also explores the transhumanist movement and the social and cultural contexts behind the desire for human augmentation. Jeremy is an assistant professor in the social sciences at McMaster University, where he teaches courses on death and dying around the world; health, healing, and religion; science and religion; and other topics.

Jeremy is the co-founder and Editor of the death conscious media site, TalkDeath.com, which focuses on death education, resources, and advocacy. Jeremy also has written for The Conversation and the Globe and Mail, and has been featured in numerous publications and podcasts.
